Thread: Pump .223

    Does anyone have or have shot the Remington 7615, the one which takes AR magazines? Only one I've seen was a stubby.

    seen a few in shops and at shows,, years ago,

    basically a modified 760/7600 ,
    coworker I had years ago used a 7600 to hunt, it was absolutely reliable

    760s work a lot better than 742s, that's for sure.

    The California Highway Patrol used to carry them, a friend who was with the Calif State Troopers before they got blended into the CHP said he liked his. I also shot his and it was OK. The 7600 is a pretty good rifle just not my favorite so my new one is still living in the gun safe in the back somewhere.Shot very little, maybe get rid of that one one of these days.

    I have a friend that owns a shop north of town
    he is a gunsmith,, and makes a good amount of money fixing 742's 7400's etc each year before hunting season,

    760's just work

    Some the gunsmiths here have said that the740&742were 500shot guns. Then the stamped prts started strechting.

    biggest issue is they have to be kept clean,
