Default Found a M1 web blet filled with LC 79 M2 Ball,

the en-bloc s were rusty and the round have light corrosion on the bullets and some on the brass.

    What is recommended for cleaning?

I'm thinking on using 3M finishing pads for auto body and sprayed with / wetted, " Simple green" cleaner, while I rotate the rounds in the proper Lee shell-holder from the case gage unit, in a cordless driver.

The en-blocs are soaking in turpentine and will be brass brushed to remove the rust.

    Any other options?

    Thanks,

    Default

toss the enblocs in a tumbler , after they are dried and wiped with a coarse rag

you can tumble the ammo, supposedly it does not hurt it if done for a short time, but every one that tells me that has no definition of what a short time is,

I'd start with a coarse rag, the use some cleaner,
leave the 3m pads etc till last resort

n-blocs tooka bath [overnight\ with turpentine and got scrubbed with a brass brush, rust disappeared with some blackening of the surface,

will try and repark with some old Parkerizing solution for the 80's.

even threw two M1 Carbine mags that had some surface rust, will use cold blue on them.

Have started of the Ball ammo.
