    Default Midway Carbines

I saw Midway USA had gotten in a shipment of M1 Carbines, probably from Italy, That they were selling off for $1,100.00 and up depending on condition and manufacturer. Reading the condition on these the better ones sound a lot like my CMP service grade. I assume they were carbines the Italians bought instead of the "loaners" the CMP sold. Well, they sold out in less than a week.

If you bought one of those CMP carbines a few years ago for half of that or less count your blessings, I am.

My Dad and 2 Uncles who were in WW2 in the EU and Pacific as well as 1 cousin who fought in Korea; all thought the carbines were worthless as to stopping power especially in Korea when the Chinese wore heavy winter clothing. Even with the 30-06 it could take several hits to stop a Jap!
