    The Rifleman....plenty of memories. Had the Mattel rifle matched to my Lone Ranger cap guns. Rifle had a tab on the lever which could be flipped into position expending a roll of caps faster than.....until it pinched your finger and a drop of blood came out. A trip to the ER was totally unwarranted.
    Remember some episodes teaching proper gun handling and a proper attitude involving firearms.

    Read that Lucas shot and killed 178 men during the series run.

    Lucas was a piker. Matt Dillon killed 407 if you count the TV movies, but of course he had 20+ years to do it. One of the things I liked about "Have Gun will Travel" is Paladin didn't have to kill somebody in every episode, or even most episodes.

    Problem with Paladin was that super slow overly dramatic draw he used. In real life he might have been shot to pieces before the first season was half over.
