Default Working on a couple of builds for M14 service rifle.

This has been a fun project. Receiver on this on is a Bula Defense Systems M14 with a USGI SA heel attached. Barrel is Bula usgi profile 22", standard gas cylinder, no unitizing, standard trigger group, stock is usgi with no bedding. Scope is an old Redfield 3-9 for testing only mounted on a Bassett single point mount, I have others with under 4.5x for use when finished. Function fired 30rnds at 100 yds today using handloaded 136 gn fb bullets in MEN berdan brass over 45 gn of Varget. Last 10 rnds were fired on the dirty bird in the photo. I think she will work out fine. This is about as plain jane as they come. No cheek rest was used for this function firing. Should be better with one. Whatta Hobby!

What a thrill it must be able to build such a rifle and have it produce such results on target. Sincerely. bruce.

Yes Sir it is. Since I retired, I have been having a ball putting M14s together that will perform as good or better than originally designed.
