I see its in the next Rock Island auction at from 8-16 K. Pretty wide estimate. the same carbine has been in previous auctions and not met what ever reserve was placed on it. Also several gun show at 25K. Be interesting to see what it does go for this time round.
this not the trial rifle as speculated. the trial rifle had many action changes and it had the magazine tube in the buttstock not the under barrel tube on rifle 117.

No I do not. I used my copy of the 1882 Report of the Chief of Ordnance for the information supplied. if its on line I have not looked for it.
