Default 03A3 out for a spin.

Had some time before the rain moved in this morning to shoot a couple of vintage rifles. This one is a Rem. 03A3 as issued, straight from the CMP. Correct with RA - 42 barrel and original wood.
Ammo is HXP brass loaded with Sierra 110 gr varminters over 45 gr of Varget set off with 210m primers. Looks like this dope needs to adjust his dope for a better score next time. It's all fun.

Guess I should have cleaned this rifle a little better. Carried it in from the range on the sling over my shoulder. Wife noticed, I now have a Veteran for Trump T shirt that is soaked down the right rear side with a thick coating of cosmo. Warmed the rifle up and the stuff ran out like crazy.

Early rifle, but looks like it has later large bow triggerguard.

Not being a collector of 03s, I would have no idea. Picked a few up for the sake of having them.

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! First you put up the 03-A4 replica. Now, this! Fine fine rifle. Excellent on target results! Sincerely. bruce.

Remember, as everyone knows, completely dis-assemble every rifle, clean and lube before firing. Somehow I missed this one. Do you suppose there is enough grease on this.
