    Default 50 year's old!

April is the 50th birthday of my 10/22 which my parents gave me for my 18th birthday. The serial # indicates manufacture in 4/70 and my Dad paid full retail for it. The cost was $54.50 no tax! About every 25 years I have replaced the springs just completing the 2nd replacement. They just don't make springs like they use to!!

I received mine from my dad for Christmas 1964 or 65 so mine is 54 years old. Except for dud rounds (usually Remingtons) I bet I could count the stoppages on the fingers of one hand. Never replaced any springs. Keeps on ticking.
