    Default lyman universl trimmer

Have had the trimmer from the mid seventy's , now it won't lock onto a 223 case , will lock on a 308.
Is there any adjustment of the trimmer , I don't see any.

    thanks kurt

Clean and lube the head. As long as the two extractor clamps are working and the springs still apply tension when you turn the handle to lock, it should be good.
My Lyman Universal power trimmer has been in constant service since it joined the forces some 30+ years ago. Only thing I have had to do is replace a couple of lost mandrels.

Lyman's site says the chuck head is adjustable. Rummage around here. There are YouTube video how-to's as well.
I'd give it a bath first though.

Is this the universal Lyman you are wondering about?
