1942 Remington 1903 stock question

Would the late 1903 Remingtons with the 03-A3 stocks have the RA stamp? SN 3355909?

No.

Hmmm. Took a chance yesterday and bought the rifle. Nice shape. Wood matched well. Barrel date 12-42. So, replacement wood? Has good FJA and crossed cannons.

The RA stamp didn't come along until March or April, 1943, with serial numbers into or past 3,500,000.

When did the O3-A3 stocks show up?

About February of 1943. The last M1903's were fitted with M'03-A3 stocks.

No -- The RA stamp (if not accompanied by a P (RA-P) was not added until mid-1943. A correct late Remington stock would have an FJA and an ordnance "belt".
