    Just curious, (actually, really curious) if this generates a hit of any sort
    serial number 713345

    could someone that has access to the records check it out? Much appreciated!

    Thanks for checking, I thought I might get lucky. There is a 1938 up for auction at Amoskeag, #713632. (also see coltautos.com) Indicates that it was on the USS Sailfish. The data came from "US Archives Record 74". I wonder if that is a giant room full of materials that you have to randomly go through, or more organized? I do go to Washington DC with some regularity, I could go spend an afternoon there....
