    Thumbs up 100 years ago today Charlie Chaplin's Shoulder Arms was released

    Released in October 20th 1918. I initially thought he was firing a 1903, then I realized it's a Krag.

    my first thought was "man, that krag has some nice wood on it." but then again, it was 100 years ago.

    It is interesting that 'movie helmets' are actually stiffened felt hats, trimmed to look like helmets. Charlie's bayonet is a re-worked British "Pattern 1888" bayonet with a 'scabbard' or 'guard' on it.
