I have been without a decent .22 pistol since I traded away my Hi Standard Military several years ago in a deal for a 1911A1 Argentine made .45.

I ran across a Ruger MKIII 22/45 Hunter that looked great and was made in 2014. It was topped by a Hawke reflex sight and had 2 mags. I bought it out the door for $280. I never really liked Ruger 22's because they are difficult to field strip and clean. On this model it seems the key for that is when to remove the mag and when to put it back in.

I liked the sight and I like the similarity to the 1911 as regards grip angle, the weight, and the positioning of the slide release, the safety, and the mag release.

Good deal or not, good pistol or not, remains to be seen.
