    Default Handgun transfer

    Does anyone know when it became required to transfer a hand gun from ffl to ffl out of state ?

    I believe it is a provision of the gun control act of 1968. Will look it up and provide you a citation.

    Added: The federal law on transfer of firearms can be found at Title 18, United States Code, Chapter 44, section 922.
