Default Dusting off 03-A3 stock sets

Not a shooting day out today so I decided to take a couple of unused Rem type A4 C stock sets off the rack and apply a little Butcher's Wax.
Thought it might be fun to pretty up my '42 and '43 Remington A3s as an indoor project. Been in the planning for a bunch of years.

IDK what "butchers wax" is, but it sure seems to do an incredible job! Love me some "C" stocks! Wish I had one....

Butcher's bowling alley wax. Used the stuff on bowls we made in shop class in high school in the early 60s. Been using it ever since. Couple of coats of BLO to bring out what I am looking for and a final finish of Butcher's. Keeps water out of the stock and makes a nice grip with the hands.
