    Sounds like a great guy! Got to wonder ... if he'd been driving the day of that accident, perhaps Patton would have only missed his bird hunt ... and ended up in the White House. Sincerely. bruce.

    Went to a "goodbye party" the other day for a WW11 vet. He is 92, still gets around very well but his family has called for him to move close to them where he will be put into an assisted living facility.

    Greatest generation by far. Think what would become of America if 1941 were to happen now. Sure we have advanced weapons and soldiers with dedication and knowledge but it took EVERYONE back then pitching in to win the war.

    A most interesting story. Thanks for posting. I think the driver of the ill-fated vehicle name is Woody, according to the movie Patton.
