Default A whole bunch of 1911’s just turned 100

Here is my century old 1911 Black Army. I believe that serial number 572574 puts it 1918. Is there an SRS hit on it?

Troy, Photobucket no longer works unless your paying their fees now. Switch to a different photo provider so you can post photos.

Well darn, the photos were there yesterday. At least I could see them. Must have timed out or something. Thanks for the heads up. What are the guys using to host/share photos?

There is a good chance your 1911 may be a 1919. Only a letter from Colt will tell you for sure. A lot of the last Colts shipped went to interesting places, especially after the vast majority went to Springfield Armory.

Just experimenting here. First photo is approx 700KB, second and third are approx 350 KB. Pictured Colt is from early 1918.

FWIW, I have found it easier to place photos into my PC's "Pictures" file and upload from there instead of using photobucket and related sites.
