    Default Value of colt barrel

What would be the approx. value of a G marked colt barrel in good condition with the link missing?

Are you talking about a small G or a large G?

Sorry to say but I don't know how to tell the difference. Is there an easy way to tell them apart?

Without having one of each in hand for comparison it can be hard to tell. I would say that the large G is about 1/8" tall and the small G is about 3/32" tall. I know this still probably won't help you much. Can you show a clear close up picture of the marking?

Thanks for your reply. I will try to get one. It is for sale at a local shop and I don't think the owner has any idea what type of barrel it is, much less that it is a USGI colt. Would it be worth throwing $5-$10 at him and seeing if he goes for it?

If you are talking about "just the Colt A1 barrel" that would be a real steal. If it's an all original finish barrel in very nice condition including good bore, it could be worth as much as $600 for a small "G" and $300 for a large "G"
