Nice old iron and wood in that picture. The shooter passes muster to.
I liked the way the scope tracked so well, I have one for a project of my own.
Some details please, repo or org, wish I was still in newtown maybe we could do some shooting.
Scope was original refurbished on a reproduction M40 Rem. I just got in a Hi Lux reproduction for myself and it seems to be darn near perfect for my use. Some things are improved over the originals.
A fun gun to shoot...

I found the Redfield a little limiting though and changed to a Weaver...

That rifle is My first large bore bolt gun. Since I took that pic, Art and I have attempted to sight in my M40A1 Clone with another vintage Redfield Acu-Range only in black, but, it turned out that the scope adjustments needed repair so I Sent it to Iron Sight Inc to be rebuilt. In the meantime, I've been working on a M40A3 build.

Picked up a SSA M40 several years ago for $1K and bought the Redfield Scope for it ($500.00). Had my gunsmith work the trigger for me. Had another friend tailor ammo for me. Was getting 1 inch groups at 200 yards off a rest. Then I traded it for a Winchester Model 52E. There are times when I wish I still had it, but I get more use out of the 52E.
