    Default CO2 Cartridge Life

I have from my father's estate a CO2 pellet revolver with 46 CO2 cartridges. They may be over five years old if not more. Does anyone know what the shelf life is for CO2 cartridges?

I would think that CO2 cartridges would have a very long shelf life, if not indefinite. As long as there is no corrosion and the "seal" is still intact and not punctured/penetrated it ought to be good. It's not like there are a lot of moving parts and the compressed gas inside is not likely to go bad.

I loaded a CO2 cartridge in my air rifle over a year ago. Shot it a few times then and recently shot it again with the same cartridge.

Ask the gun -- load one of those cartridges and see how it shoots.
