Default Don't Know Much About 1911s - Asking Questions

I don't no much about 1911s but ran into this one at a local gunshop. If it turns out to be something desirable, I may purchase it. It has a number of marks on it that I can't identify. I know that it has been refinished, but the gun appears to be in overall decent condition. Can you help me out with this one by identifying it ? The gunshop is asking $ 1,200 for it. Thanks

It's a desirable "WB" inspected early WWII Colt with an altered serial number which renders its value at nothing, if not illegal.

Terrible reblue with lots of buffing mistakes. As mentioned the serial number has been changed. At $1200 the guy selling it must have left his mind. Too bad.
