    Default M1 Garand Stock Stampings

Help! I used Google to research, but no clear answers. EBAY item 332075076486. This stock has a four digit
number stamped on the LEFT butt and under the barrel channel. Is this stock a Danish or Greek return?
Or are these actually US military rack numbers? I have a NFR serialled M1 rifle but would like to get the right
stock with a good cartouche on it. My rifle chamber is white and the sight is lockbar, but I am confused by this
offered stock. What do you guys think?

Just some units armory rack numbering system.
I have only also, not same numbers of course, stamps are deep, and painted in red.

The dents in front of the trigger housing opening and the numbers make me think it was from a Navy ship. The dents were probably from the rifle bouncing around in an armory rack. Maybe on USS Windham Bay (CVE-92).
