Default New Zealand marked Long Branch No 4 Mk 1*

Since I posted pics of my. N.Z. marked 1903 I thought I'd post pics of my nicer Long Branch No 4 Mk 1*. This gun is a 15L 1942 gun and appears to have led a charmed life as it is all numbers matching and pristine in and out. I've never shot this rifle and have no plans to. Enjoy the pics.IMG_1196.jpg

Nice rifle. If it were mine I would shoot it. Not as if shooting would hurt the value. Dropping it in the gravel might...

I've got plenty of refurbs to shoot. My favorite No. 4 is a 42 BSA reworked in the 50's. My favorite No. 1 is Lithgow 43 reworked in 45, but those sights are starting to be more of challenge as I approach the merry old age of 48.

Since this one still has its original barrel and is all matching I figure it will be my safe queen.
