Default WWII M49 Spotting Scope questions

I just found an old M49 spotter (brass data plate 133xx - OD wrinkle, remenants of coated optics sticker) with an untagged M15 in a wrinkle OD finish (no straps, thongs or clamps) and a later M164 case (with strap). I found it in the Norfolk/Va. Beach area.

Questions: The scope has the threaded eye piece cover but missing the front objective threaded cap - any sources for a replacement NOS or reproduction?

Would the correct case be a M53A1? M58?

Not easy finding a non-MRT tripod case but I'll stick with the MRT one until I find an older one. Sources?

This shield is painted on, ideas if this is USMIL...CG...Sea Cadets?
