    That's one helluva hollow point.
Any significance to the neck (crimps ?) ?

The MkIV and MkV rounds had what is casually called a Dum Dum bullet which was halted by the Hague Convention. The crimp is a 'stab' or 'jab' crimp which was a common method at the time.

The "Dum Dum" started with troop modification of the Mark II bullet.

The Mark IV was approved in Feb 1898 with a 215 gr cupro nickel envelope around a hollow point pure lead bullet at 2000 fps

The Mark V was approved in Oct 1899 and again during 1903/04 also with a 215 cupro nickel envelope around a hollow point
bullet but with an alloy mix to the lead, also at 2000 fps

Both the Mark IV and Mark V cartridges in my photo were manufactured in Canada

Thanks for the better details. The Dominion headstamps gave those two away.
What is the MkII...DF? Can't make it out for certain on my screen.

Your right, if that Mark II was blackpowder it would be quite rare and without the Cordite stamp
