  1. Default What Do You Guys Think About This Model 12?

I'm thinking the handguard is a repro because of the way the shield is connected to the bayonet mount. The blue doesn't look quite right to me, but is don't see signs that there's been any buffing but I could be wrong about that. And the wood is just too perfect for me to think it's 70+ years old. It's not so much the lack of dings as it is the bright and shiny appearance of the finish. What do you think?

On the other hand, the seller has a really good rating and the wood finish on my 97 trench is pretty much perfect, just a little more dull.

It's been reblued. The seller's description says it has been "refurbished".

  3. Default

If you want something that looks like a brand new M12 trench, go for it.
    It is a "real" trenchgun.
But collectors want nothing to do with refinished guns.
So if you pay too much you get stuck big time.
