Default 45 Colt and 45acp bullets

I ran out of 230gr. JHP bullets while loading 45acp. So, I looked at a box of 45 cal. bullets I load in my 45 Colt. Using a mike I measured both 45acp and 45 bullets. The 45acp bullets measured .4525 and the 45 Colt bullets @ .452. Both bullets weighed the same. So I loaded them in my 45acp brass. Worked OK and saved a trip to the LGS.

Not that big of a difference, now if you had and older SAA in 454...well then.

that would make no difference with the lead bullets vs jacketed--in a 357 the lead are 358 and the jacketed 357
