Have the chance to buy a Korean era Springfield M1 5mil range Leed Depot redo in about 95% condition. 54 date barrel, very nice. $1000 out the door.
    Throat measures 3, muzzle 5.
Need to act quick. Go for it? I'm not a collector, this is for competition.

I believe you get better throat/muzzle condition on a CMP service grade for $730.

$1000.00 wat too much. If they would take $500.00 you could have a new barrel installed, but you'd be right around at CMP price.

i think it is a bit high as well. if the te was 5, me was 3, maybe. rRight now, market is still pretty soft. cmp service grade running about 800-900. More if it has more desirable parts. my 2 cents...

A 54 date barrel is post Korea. Sounds like somebody did a cosmetic re-finish job.
As mentioned, the barrel makes it a CMP Field Grade. Not something you'd want to compete with without changing the barrel. A Field Grade runs $630. A Service Grade is $730.
    Spelling and grammar count!
