Default Mossberg 44 magazine? Places to find one?

I have a Mossberg 44 I bought from the CMP a few years back. It appears I have lost the magazine - anyone know where to pick up a spare? Thought I had one, as well, but can't seem to find it, either!

    TIA!

Here's one on ebay worth watching.

I saw another on GunBroker but it is a little pricey @ $80.

Havlin Sales & Service had the magazines in the past but...

    General Update on Mossberg Mags

Note that the magazines for the 42.43.44 series are out of production. We are working with a new supplier who is still in the tooling stages for this item and estimates that it will be early 2016 before a prototype is ready for testing.

About all that is available are repro's. They are hard to tell form originals. The sporting rifles had a pin which screwed in from the bottom to make short cart. work. Target rifle did not. However either will work in your rifle. Orginals are pricey and repros not so much. A lot of sellers will pass repros off as original so if brand new and have short pin---probably a repro.
I would bet the one on auction from Allen is a repro., old originals do not use roll pins for the locking devise.

Hello Rick, I also bought one of those Mossberg M22 .22 LR rifles from CMP. I was able to get a magazine and replacement aluminum trigger guard from Brownells. I don't know if they are still available. Seems like the magazine was described as fitting a few different model Mossbergs. Wasn't exactly labeled as a Model 44 mag yet, it worked just fine.

Havlins and Gun Pats corp. now has a source for repro's, several tested by Vic Havlin and found to be good. 38 buck from either one. They are made in Twain.

I got one magazine from a nearby member of CSP and another from Havlins, when they became available.

    Thanks!
