I met one Color Sgt Dunphy, interesting lad from the Royal Marines. During the Falklands War he mentioned they sometimes used captured FALs since they were familiar with them and liked them so much for their range and thump, in additon, De Lisle's as well as bringing out the old warhorses'- the L42s.
If it works use it.
If memory serves, the FALs that the Brits took to the Falklands were semi-auto and the Argentines were using select fire examples!! So the Brits were trading their weapons for the full auto version!!! I wonder what the British did with the weapons that they captured?????
