Look at that! Not one, but TWO carbines with sling swivels. The3 lower of the two could have been my old one. Dick Hosmer! 5MF! What say you?

One was defiantly done by a hunter. Had military type (not Krag) swivels inletted into the wood, both front & back. I filled the front inlet and enlarged the back one for Krag swivel. I have been looking for a stock for long time. There is also a filler piece on left of stock forward of grip, which I did not do. I will take detail pics if you like but weather is very dark this week. It is the one in middle (third one down) and has carbine 1901 sight. The other (1898 #219xxx) looks like done by military (possibly). Also has a carbine 1898 sight leaf but base does not look correct.
