Default 40x stock tgrigger guard options

I am fitting a Remington 700 SA to a 40x stock and the fit is nearly perfect. My plan is to bed it with a single shot follower to use as a single shot medium range target rifle. I prefer to use a 40xb type aluminum trigger guard but from my limited research I have found that a 40xb, ADL or BDL trigger guard will not fit the action screw holes in the 40x stock. Does anyone know of a solution or if I am not correct in assuming the others won't work?
    Thanks,
    Don

The 40xb is based on the 700 Remington action. The screws should be identical. Even the 722 action should be the same screw pattern. Now the 700 long action would be different as would the 721 action as they are longer actions.
