I have a group picture of my Army basic training company from Ft. Leonard Wood in 1959. I treasure it. Four years later I enlisted in the Coast Guard, and had to run the whole 12 weeks basic. The Coast Guard was either too poor or too stupid or too cheap to take a group picture of us. I wish that they had.

he best picture I have is ITR in Jan 59--it is a wide picture as it's our whole company--spent more fighting range fires than training--my plt photo
is almost faded out,,Plt 188 sept 58 at Diego..bought a great 35mm to take overseas where I took some great photos from the prow of a LST that was disgourging AMTraks on a island landing--made about 6 landings in 20 months with the 4th Marines out of 1st MarBrig KayBay
