    Default Inland M1 carbine

Would one of you who knows about M1 carbines please look at Gunbroker auction #477996969? I know nothing about these and would like to know if this is a good rifle and a reasonable price. I thank you very much for your time and expertice.

The carbine has been refinished. The rear sight I would question as the markings on it indicate it was one that would have been used earlier in production. The carbine dates to about October 1944 and one would expect to find one of the adjustable rear sights by that time frame. I would have like to see more pictures of the rear sight to see if the leaf was marked WI. If not then the sight is a reproduction.
I just looked at his other auctions and the carbines he has there are all restorations but they are not good ones. At least one other carbine has a fake rear sight on it so if it were me I would not even think of going for this one.
