    Thumbs up Semi-M16A1 clone?

While surfing the net last weekend I came across what I think was an add for an authentic semi M16A! clone being manufactured. It looked like it had a ND Suds receiver. Of course now I can't find it. Does anyone know about this? If you can direct me to it, mucho thanks.

build what you want, easy to do, get a nodak rec send it to Ident marking , have them put on what you want. You can buy a matched upper and lower from nodak.

I just received a 20" 1/12 pencil barrel from Green Mountain for my project. With shipping it came to $181.57. I ordered it on March 24 and received it on March 26.

It looks good. Just wanted to add that the feed ramp has a M4 cut if that matters to you. I'll know how it shoots in a couple of months when I've gathered and assembled all the pieces parts.

I ordered a front sight base (FSB) from Double Star. Non F (no mark), parkerized, .625.

I hope I ordered the right FSB. It's for use with a cheap A2 upper I found. Not an A1, but close enough for what I'm doing.

I think SARCO has some parts kits less the rec. I built one years ago but didn't get the NDS rec. I guess I wasn't aware of them at the time.

I've been buying my barrels from AR15SPORT.COM. They have 1:12 Chrome Lined Lightweight barrels for about $250 and the front sight base is properly pinned so you're ready to go out of the box (you'll have to add the A1 sight parts and sling swivel if you don't already have them). I also believe that the barrels might be Green Mountain because the barrel markings are G 5.56 NATO 1/12. The markings are under the handguards. And yes, M4 feedramps on the barrel extension.

Brownells has got some WITHOUT an M4 feed ramp too.

When Brownells sent me the email about those barrels I thought I'd try one because of the non-M4 extension but then I read that they had F marked front sight bases and decided against it. I can live with an extension nobody's going to see but that front sight base would just scream "Flattop"!!!
