    I have a sight adjustment tool for the M1917. The story that came with it was that it was made by, IIRC, the Dutch. I got it after I had a M1917 rebarreled. I am not interested in selling it, but I might be willing to loan it. PM me if you are interested.

    Question: How does one keep a steel sight pusher (such as the one being sold on ebay) from damaging the finish on the sight?

    Good point, did not think of it, maybe material is tough enough or screw is soft enough, It hasn't marred mine, if you are worried you can put a metal shim in there fro the screw to bear against.
