    After reading lots of posts I see my rifle is a mix master. Bolt and bayonet lug serial numbers a mismatch. Any other places to check ?

    Per Allan's book, "The Type 38 Arisaka", "No Series- Type 38 Cavalry Carbine",known serial number range 49-1719. Estimated production, March 1935 through May 1936.
    Parts matching: The last three of the serial number are stamped on the bolt, safety, dust cover, front barrel band, floor plate, upper and lower wrist tangs, magazine box, trigger, striker, stock and handguard. Assembly number matches barrel and receiver only.
