    Default Japanese knee mortar

I dont know where else to post this except here. Is finding a knee motar for under $1000 getting hard or impossible to find ? I am looking for one and really cant even find one for sale. I have a really nice WWI camo M16 german helmet to trade. How hard are the accessories to find? like the tool pouch strap and muzzle cover.
    Thanks Derrick

At least one marine broke his leg thinking that's how it was fired!

I haven't seen a type 89 mortar tube for that price, unless it was really salty (i.e. rough condition). Depending how they deactivated the tube, and it's overall question, I would say north of a $1k, south of $2k. I realize it is a big range, but really depends on the condition.

    Thanks,
    Pat

Thanks for the replys. I did find one on the web but for $1200 the condition was not what I was looking for. I have one of the rounds for these . Pretty neat little mortat round. Also have two type 97 grenades.

Last time I tried to find one, you could get a registered LIVE knee mortar cheaper than a deactivated one but you have to do the paperwork and tax stamp and have the ATF/FBI/DHS/NAACP/NASA know that you have it so most people don't wan to bother with it.

The accessories are where the real value is. If you are serious about them, try to find one with as many accessories as possible. The canvas covers can be a few hundred dollar by themselves but you may find that the difference in pricing between one with accessories and one without is fairly small.
I own firearms not to fight against my government, but to ensure I will not have to.
