Default It this cartouche real or fake?

I am not a carbine collector and I am trying to find out if this is real or a fake stamp. I have a chance to but a large quantity of carbine stocks and this is one of them.

Take more then one more photo. Take them from all angles and right over head. Right now with the one photo the stamping looks thin and would be a fake if it's so.

It could be and my be the angle of the picture but as I said before the stamping of the letters appears to be thin. Has the stock been sanded quite a bit?

Just looks like it has been exposed to moisture to me. I'm with StockDoc. I say real.
