I have a sporter 03 and was offered this as a trade. Thoughts?

    Cannot view link to Krag.

Do you have a commercially (or home-made) sporterized 1903, or a 1903 NRA Sporter? A world of difference in comparative value.

Nice 03 sporter, Not NRA. Here are the Krag pics.

I'd pass - Krag has been chopped off, stock buggered, and is missing parts. If your '03 is "nice" it is worth more than that Krag. Also stronger, easier to get ammo, etc. If the Krag were a virgin, I might feel differently, as most any original is worth more than most sporters.

I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of the '03 sporter. There are a lot of them out there and they make great hunting rifles, just a trifle heavy. Poor man's Model 70. I like my Krag sporter but would stick with the '03 if I were in your shoes.

    Good luck!

Krag trader thinks his sporter is worth 425. I had my 03 mark 1 on sale for 300.

Krag trader is sorely misinformed, or delusional, or both. Keep the '03!

Your price is fair, if not a little low - his is wishful thinking.

You have a "sporter", he has a "bubba".
