Default Help with colt DA .38

LGS has this Colt...Well worn 50% finish, medium specking, 20 % flame cutting, 1/8 cyclinder play...I have no clue about the inspector marking's on revolvers....Left side is stamped 1/8 high, L E B...Left side, near the top, aft side of grip, R MC....There is a rust spot on top of the last letter, appears to be stamped before finish....No power glass available...Some one hand carved crude checkering...I am wondering if the R MC would be a unit id....Any help would be appreciated....regards....alex

Sounds rough at best, wall hanger material.

I collect Colt DA revolvers but not that one. Keep looking.
