  1. Default Colt 1892, 1894, 1895, 1896, 1901 and 1903

I am looking for information that illustrates the progression of upgrades/changes to these DA Revolvers. Best books or web sites suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

The only in depth study of these revolvers I know of is Robert Bests Colt's A Study of New Army & Navy Double Action Revolvers. It's out of print and copies if you can find one are expensive.Wilson's Book of Colt Firearms has some information. Also expensive at about $150.

There is a Department of Ordnance book printed in 1905 and reprinted in 1917 that has all the information you will need. The original is in some college in CA and can be down loaded. If you can't find it PM me and I'll try to copy it and send it to you.

1901 Colt pistol.pdf. I have down loaded it to my drive but I don't know how to post it here. I can send it as a attachment to a E-mail.
It has just about everything including ammo, ballistics with FPS, point of aim, spin drift and a bunch stuff.
