    Default Fitting a cutoff.

Did this many years ago with no problem but not this time. The Mk111 is a 1939 BSA. When the screw is in place, the mag cover droops so much it will not line up with the slot. Seems the part is bent but maybe it is right. Where am I going wrong?

There are a lot of variations in the cut-off, Stratton listed four variations and there is always a chance it may be bent

Well, I was able to finesse the cutoff into place and it works fine, if you can ignore that the hole in the thing will not line up with the screw hole. Another cutoff is coming in hope for a better fit. This rifle was also missing all the twiddly bits and springs that go in the fore end. I have found these omissions one at a time so Numrich has gotten 5 orders instead of one. I must confess that working on this rifle has been a blast and it will be my personal shooter and stay in my collection.
