In reality a large shipment of carbines was sent to Canada in 1943/1944 time frame. Most of these were never issued but kept in storage. Those that were issued were used for war plant security and such. Not many were used. These were later returned minus their receivers as parts kits and almost all if not all of them were Inlands. The kits came through a dealer in upper state New York a number of years ago. It was great as the parts were like new and the prices were not too bad till they ran out.

Not exactly. Lend-Lease was to our allies, and although most went to the British we also send L-L to Canada, China, French Forces, Russia, American Republics, and small quantities to other countries.

As far as the British sending the M1 Rifles back, they did but they had been sold to dealers, and none came back to the U.S. military. Same on the Model 1911A1 pistols.

Lend-Lease was not just small arms either. L-L consisted of aid to our allies with everything from ships to food.

Canada received over 8000 M1 Rifles, and exactly 1515 1911A1 pistols.

I have seen pictures of mobs of burka-wearing Iranian women all marching with M-1s. I guarantee you they got lots more than 32.

Did we not supply some Garands and M-1 Carbines to Mexico?

Whoops. Looked up Mexico, no Garands, the Mexican police and security forces received some M-1 Carbines, but whether they were purchased or military assistance I am unable to determine.
