More of this one
The WW2 Model 12 shotguns do have an ordnance bomb on top of the barrel like this one. But the photo is too small to tell if it is a legit mark or not.
Is the receiver martially marked? And what is the serial number of the gun?
Serial-101367 marked "42" barrel..receiver is right on with u.s and bomb..still has the heat treating mark near the ejection port..
Wall thickness at the muzzle end is thick too
I think you left out one digit in the serial number.
There should be burnishing around the Winchester proof mark and the ord. bomb on the barrel. If there isn't, it's been refinished. And what's the smaller circle inside the ord. bomb? I can't recall ever seeing that on a Model 12 Military shotgun.

Tom is right...the inner circle on the bomb makes it suspect.
WW1 97 bombs have an inner circle...but the flame is different.
These markings are a head -ache..
One looks good the other ?
