    Thanks again JBin, I am going to change it up next time. I think I paid $1,500.00 for the revolver more than 5 years ago and I am not sure if the demand and value have retreated or if I just paid too much.

    A fine looking S&W.

    It looks to me that the worst spot on the Colt is the top and that that is the worst picture.

    I think in the right circumstances the Colt pistol could reach $1500 but is likely to sell closer to $1100-$1200. As S&W gave the model 1917 a high polish finish, I think they command a slight premium over the Colts though the Colt people would deny it. Just my 2 cents - That Colt is a very nice example.

    I paid $1,100 for one almost as nice last year. But I agree that "Jack the Dog" gets the highest price all of the time. I have a friend who swears by him.
