    Default Japanese Ordnance for reference

    Hoping this post can be turned into a sticky and an online reference. I am posting pics of my Japanese ordnance and I hope others will share whatever they have that isn't already posted.

    Type97 Type 99 and Type 99 last ditch grenades






    Type 4 Ceramic grenades. Early black/plum glazed, Mid production Tan Glazed, Very late white unglazed (Late, White glazed not pictured)

    Type 97 and Throwing type training grenades. Throwing type is rough cast and meant for repeated throwing practice.

    Type 89 Knee (Ni) mortar rounds. Round on left has been fired. Dud round is mushroomed at the head and copper band is rifled from firing.

    81mm Mortar round with launching round and booster pack. The little piece of paper is rare than Rocking Horse crap with hens teeth in it.

    Awesoome... Thanks very much for sharing! The only thing I have (besides my two T-99s and bayonets) is 30 rounds of 7.7 mm AP Machine Gun (T-97?) ammo un-belted, and ten rounds clipped of 7.7x58 T-99 AP ball ammo.

    Thanks for the pics, especially the 81 mm round. I wonder how effective the ceramic granades were when compared to steel.
