You normally get what you pay for. The photo here is of a group fired by an old barrel that had between 8-9K rounds through it. It was a 1 in 8" twist Krieger that a friend of mine in Terre Haute, IN shot to the point he didn't trust it any longer for highpower competition. It is a great little varmint barrel now that shoots very well. This is not the first of his rejects that are currently on varmint rifles. Buy a good one and it will last!
at what range was that shot Bill? 300yds? More? Heck I would never have even tried a bullet that light in a 1"-8" twist........ interesting.

That was a group at 100 yards. That these barrels still shoot that well at 8-9K rounds astounds me. Sorry that there was no indication of distance but the group was near 1/2 minute.
I think is is hard to overspin a good bullet. The 52 grain Remington BR bullets worked very well in an 8" twist. They just worked well, period!
