  1. Default correct parts for SA m1 5976XXX

Hello. What would be the correct parts for SA m1 serial number 5976XXX. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you logan308

    Default

I probably should not respond because in my opinion - any M-1 in service should have a few non original parts. GI's commonly mixed parts when cleaning rifles (marines less so). Armorers repairing them could have cared less.

However since that is near the end of production I will hazard the thought that it ought to have a very late barrel date (SA). Not really an area I can authoritatively advise you on.

Correct rifles are mostly hand-built by people today. The exception being the few unissued new ones CMP unearthed.
