    Default Early Winchester Spring tube

I have just got an early Winchester Springtube serial number 10746XX with a Winchester barrel for $500.00 in great shape but has the Blue Sky Import stamp, why does this supposably lower the value so much, thanks

The Blue Sky imports were not considered to be the best of the imported carbines. Most were used quite hard and not well taken care of. Plus the very big stamp on the left side of the barrel is not very attractive.

I must have got lucky then because this one is far from being a beater. It is of course a mix of different usgi parts but the bore is bright with plenty of rifling and when I insert a 30-06 there is a good amount of bullet showing.I bought the gun as a shooter but I do hate the BIG import mark!

Shoot it and enjoy it. Even if you don't shoot much, enjoy it for what it is and it's history.
